Kiss Cam Takes Crazy Turn At Knicks Game As Girl Smooches Total Stranger

Who says there's nothing worth watching at a Knicks game? On Thursday night, the best thing at the game -- possibly the best thing at any Knicks game, all season -- happened during the Kiss Cam, when a woman's apparent date refused to smooch.

The 12 best “SNL” moments of 2014

2014 was a year of change for “Saturday Night Live.” Whether it was ultimately for better remains to be seen, but if nothing else, things have been interesting.

Facing Down Borg Runners

“You can’t outrun them, you can’t destroy them. If you damage them, the essence of what they are remains. They regenerate and keep coming. Eventually, you will weaken—your reserves will be gone. They are relentless.”

~Q, describing the Borg

Zombie Run

An innovative app that puts a pack of zombies on your tail, mixing the groans and moans of the shambling undead into your own choice of music, and unveiling its post-apocalyptic storyline as you stack up the miles. Run well, and you’ll find ammo and medicine to distribute to fellow survivors; run poorly, and your delicious brain are lunch. It’s currently iOS-only, but Android users can join in now because I think that the Android version came out last week.

Runner or Jogger?

A runner can answer the questions about running such as “Is it normal for my toenail to be black?” or “What the hell is a fartlek?"

I Run...

I run because I cannot say no to a second thick piece of chocolate brownie.

What the hell is a kilometer anyways?

So all my life I've been running in miles. I could tell my mile pace, my 10k splits, etc. Then I found myself in Europe. Home of the kilometer (if you don't count Canada, and really no one does.). And I found that I needed to educate myself to this strange new concept of measurement.

The “K” stands for kilometer. A kilometer is 0.62 of a mile, which makes a 5K race 3.1 miles long or 10K run 6.2 miles.

Thinking of Hills, and Asses

Waiting for my students to show up, and all I can think of is my workout. I have two sets of 5 short hill repeats to do, bracketed by 2 k run on either side. Not much on distance but the hill repeats just kick my ass. Literally. My ass hurts for days after. My lower back and upper quads just ache. I have said it before, and I will say it again, if you want to shape up your ass.... run hills.

Beer Shower

Over the weekend Chrissie Wellington bested her own triathlon record with an 8 hour 18 minute race at the Quelle Challenge Roth in Germany. To put that in perspective, she ran a blistering 2:44 marathon final leg, which was just 4 minutes slower than the overall male winner.

She was no doubt aided by dousing herself completely with a massive glass of beer after the cycling stage. The hoppy shower was captured as the photo of the day by the London Daily Telegraph.
