Medical Flaws

There's a few things that most medical personnel haven't yet become aware of, and so you need to be so of can explain it to them.

Running will change your resting heart rate; it gets lower and lower. I've had nurses recheck their watches. But once, when in the emergency room, a nurse stated the obvious: "you're a runner, right." But the rights and Nike shades might have been a give away.

Also running can increase your blood volume. Red blood cell production often doesn't keep up with larger overall blood volume, resulting in hemoglobin and red cell counts could be seen as anemia in normal sedentary people.

And your heart changes. The left ventricle will get larger, which, in sedentary people, looks like a harbinger of heart attacks.

Now most doctors and nurse don't know these facts, so you will need to keep them in mind when you next happen to find yourself in their care. Though you might be lucky and get a runner for a doctor.
