Attack a hill like you would a dragon—not by beating at its tail, but hammering away at its head. Attack the head! Surging at the bottom of a hill can leave you fatigued before you reach the top. Save your speed for the last third. You’ll have a better chance of maintaining your momentum up and over the backside of the hill. Time it right and you’ll be flying downhill while your competition is still chugging up. Conquer the hills AND the warriors in your race!
