First thing to remember about Santander is that it's on the sea. And the city is bathed in humidity 24 hours a day. We ran at 6.30am. By the time we got back to the hotel, directly across from the beach, we were both sweaty. Me, the most I've been on this trip. I really miss running in Galicia, where it's much much cooler.
I had some pain in my left ankle and shin, which I am chalking up to my taking yesterday off. I should've just gotten out of bed and gone for a few kms. Not going to make that mistake tomorrow. Heat or not, tired or not, I need to put some kms under my feet for the rest of the trip.
I tried to set up niece's new Nike band, but the connection is too slow here to download the utility. I will try it at the other hotel. I'm hungry and I am waiting for the buffet spread downstairs. I tell you I've become spoiled by the level of food in the morning. I will be shocked I think when I go back to coffee when I return to Madrid.
Next stop is Bilbao, though I won't be staying there long enough to run, but just to revisit it. But I will be heading off to San Sebastian for two days. Tomorrow morning will be another eqrly morning run along the beach and the sea, and the late night/early morning drunks. Then an afternoon jaunt into nearby France. If I could I'd double, and have a run in Spain in the morning and run in France in the afternoon. Yeah!
Well off to the pool, beach is too far right now from hotel. Hope you're all enjoying your runs!
Ciao
