Rest On

Boston Marathon

In Beantown, marathon Monday may as well be sanctioned a holiday. Not only is the annual race world-renowned, it’s also the oldest continuous marathon in the country, attracting crowds of up to 500,000 people. It’s also among the most competitive races to get into. “You can qualify either by running fast or raising money for a good cause,” says Jack Fultz, who took first place in the 1976 Boston marathon. baa.org
