I decided to take a rest day yesterday, as we ended up walking around Oviedo in 35C for hours. I felt especially drained by the end of the day as well as the two days of running hills in Santiago. My niece decided to do some swimming with my gf in the hotel pool. They seemed to have done some serious laps and felt tired. Good for my niece to get in early the habit of cross training. But also for me gf, she can benefit from building on a second physical activity.
Now, in Santander for the night. My niece just went to the beach and swam and walked. It's something like mid 30s and hot here. So I've decided to have our run tomorrow. In the morning around 6.30am. It's been a hot week in Spain and won't let up until after Sunday. So we need to think about when to run and schedule in between our city tour.
