MT5 and MT6

So my 5th day was a Rest Day. I had intended to spend the day basically in bed. The last days have really taken it out of me. But as it turned out I walked around the city, hopping from plaza to plaza and bar to bar. By the morning, as I began flexing my feet before getting out of bed, I found that my left foot had a lot of pain. The tendons? under my big toe were inflamed and radiating pain. I was very upset to say the least. I should have rested on my rest day. So I got up and walked a bit to the bathroom and found the pain was constant. So began my sixth day of training...

Today's scheduled goal is 6.5. This is not a usual distance for me, so I cobbled together some of the routes around my neighborhood. I ended up getting a bit longer than 7 km today. The heat was bearable around 9.30 am. Still I was nearly covered in sweat by the time I got home. This of course is typical of summer tuning here. And tomorrow's 19 km will be nothing but sweat.

Presently I am tired, though I think it's more about lack of sleep. We got back around 2.30am and I was up around 7 am. So tomorrow seems to shaping up fine. I will get a good night sleep and run earlier. It'll be a safe and easy distance to cover, as I have been doing 18 km for many weeks now. Next week's long run will be more challenge but for the moment I can look forward to doable distance tomorrow.

So tomorrow is my long run of 18.
