Posted @withregram • @jess_santora My purpose of running is greater than what my watch says . . Yesterday was a speed workout and I let the numbers get to me. When I was finished I classified it as a “bad run” because I wasn’t able to hit my intervals. But, I should of looked at the bigger picture— I got up to run. . . My purpose to run marathons is not to run Boston (although it would be great). My purpose to run be happy, healthy and safe. I run for St Jude because it gives my running a tangible purpose— to save other kids. . . Maybe I will make today’s intervals— Maybe I won’t. But I won’t let it define me as a runner. . . Here is to a six mile run — trying to keep a tempo of 11 minutes for three of those miles 💚🌈‼️ oh yeah, my pace doesn’t define me as a runner either. My happiness for running is what does #runhappy . . #runhappyteam #teamroadid #ihavearunnersbody
