As I write this it's still hard to believe that Leonard Nimoy is gone. Even to those of us who didn't know him, he felt like a friend, a mentor and a hero; the loss is truly heartbreaking. Both Spock and Nimoy were paragons of decency, nobility, virtue and humanity.
